Good Morning! Before I get into the actual post, I wanted to point out a change you've probably already noticed. Formally known as "Scripture Sundays" I've changed the name of this series to "Satisfying Scriptures". Why? Well, It just now came to my attention that Faith from A Pocketful Of Faith's (check out her blog here!) series is also called "Scripture Sundays". I've been reading her Scripture Sunday posts for awhile now, and her posts actually inspired me to start this series on my blog, too. I guess it never caught my attention that I called my series the same as hers, so I wanted her to have the name since, well, it was her idea first. Faith, if you are reading this, I am sorry for the little mishap. I guess I got so used to reading your posts, I naturally called mine the same! So, now my series is called "Satisfying Scriptures", because I believe God's word is very satisfying, and is good for your soul. I went back to my four other posts and changed the name as well. If this is your first time reading a post in my series, I basically share a verse or two that I have really been loving lately. Today's verses are Psalm 62:6 and Isaiah 41:10.
Psalm 62:6- "He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken." Isaiah 41:10- "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." You are always safe with God. That's one of my favorite parts of Isaiah 41:10 where it says "So do not fear, for I am with you". If you trust in God, he will never let you fall. He is always with you and taking care of you. I found these verses in my devotional book and I love the part where it said "When you turn away from God, you can get hurt by the darkness that is in this world. Don't be surprised by how easily you slip into sin when you forget to hold onto God's hand." God is your fortress and your protection, he keeps you safe from the bad things this world can bring. Have a great week, and remember, God is always with you! xoxo, The Georgian Prep

Hey y'all! Welcome or welcome back! Today's post will be my 3rd Scripture Sunday post. I basically high-light a verse I have been loving lately, and talk about it a little. You can check out my first Scripture Sunday post here, and my second here.
Joshua 1:9- "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." In this chapter, God is telling Joshua that Moses had recently died, and he promised Moses land. So, he gave Joshua (a relative of Moses) the land he promised Moses. They would need to cross the Jordan river to get to the land. So God was telling him to not be afraid, and to be courageous. Anything you're going through in life, do it with Christ. Do not be afraid, God is with you whenever, and wherever you go. Be strong and courageous in your faith and you can conquer anything! Thank you so much for reading! Treat your mothers right, and have an amazing week! xoxo, The Georgian Prep Hey guys! If y'all don't know what Scripture Sunday is, it's basically where I share some of my favorite scriptures each week. Today, I will be talking about three verses that mean a lot to me. 1 Thessalonians 5:11- Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact your are doing.
Proverbs 11:27- Anyone can find the dirt in someone. Be the one who finds the gold. Proverbs 16:24- Kind words are like honey, sweet to the soul and healthy for the body. I have seen a lot of bullying lately, and that is not OK. I can't seem to figure out how tearing another person down makes you feel better. Wouldn't it feel a lot better to share kind words about someone than picking on them? We rise by lifting others. I'm not saying you have to be best friends with everyone you know, but at least try to be nice. It will make you a much better person and it will make them feel a lot better too. Proverbs 11:27 is one of my favorite verses ever. Instead of finding someone's flaws and picking on them, give them a complement! That's all that I have to say today, and if you're getting bullied remember this; turn the other cheek. Don't turn around and be mean to them again because that will only make matters worse. If you don't let their rude words get to you, they will stop because they will see that you are so much stronger than what they think. You do you, girl! have a great week! xoxo, The Georgian Prep |
